Why This Meeting Matters
The Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee plays a critical advisory role. Established under Labor Code section 5307.29, it consults with the DWC Administrative Director regarding the Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule (MTUS) drug formulary. This guidance is vital, especially as new drugs and treatment options continue to emerge.
Moreover, pursuant to Government Code section 11123.5, public advisory meetings are permitted to be conducted virtually through December 31, 2025. Nevertheless, the DWC continues to honor transparency and inclusion by offering a physical location for public participation.
Public Comment Welcomed
Importantly, the DWC invites comments and suggestions from the public on potential formulary updates. Stakeholders may email their input directly to Formulary@dir.ca.gov.
In addition, the meeting agenda and all related materials are now available on the DWC P&T Committee webpage, allowing attendees to review and prepare in advance.
