April 25, 2025 | MedLegalNews.com – Oakland, CA — DWC Launches Pharmacy Fee Calculator for Public Testing. This tool previews how future pharmacy reimbursements will be calculated under California’s workers’ compensation system.
Designed for Simplicity and Transparency
The new calculator is built on a proposed pharmacy fee schedule that reflects legislative changes. It simplifies the process of determining drug reimbursement rates for claims involving injured workers.
Users can enter information like NDC codes, service dates, and dispensing details. The tool then returns an estimated reimbursement amount using data from California’s Official Medical Fee Schedule (OMFS).
Public Feedback Sought
DWC encourages claims administrators, pharmacists, providers, and others to test the calculator and share feedback. By collecting public input, the agency hopes to fine-tune the tool before its official release.
In addition, the calculator aims to reduce disputes, save administrative time, and improve billing accuracy. DWC also plans to host a public webinar and release a user guide to support the rollout. DWC Launches Pharmacy Fee
